Fabrizio Blanco

Chief Technology Officer

Fabrizio Blanco

Fabrizio is the Chief Technology Officer at Viant Technology. In this role, Fabrizio leads a team of technologists, computer scientists, product experts, and engineers to run the most robust and effective digital advertising technology platform in the industry. Fabrizio and his team are responsible for Viant’s global technology vision and roadmap.

With more than 20 years of experience, Fabrizio is a pioneer in the ad tech ecosystem who has built and scaled core technologies including ad networks, ad servers, DSPs, SSPs, and DMPs. In 2006, faced with the challenge of monetizing and optimizing large amounts of unsold inventory, he was the architect and a patent holder for RTB (Real-Time Bidding), the ubiquitous methodology for real-time buying and selling ad inventory.

Prior to joining Viant, Fabrizio was Senior Vice President of Engineering and Chief Architect of the Fox Audience Network (FAN), News Corp.’s online advertising unit, and the primary monetization arm of Myspace. At FAN, Fabrizio architected and built the world’s largest display ad serving and optimization technology, serving over 7 billion daily impressions across 2,000 publishers. Fabrizio came to FAN when News Corp. acquired Strategic Data Corp (SDC), where he served as Chief Technology Officer.

Fabrizio earned his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Catania, Italy,  and lives in southern California with his wife and their two daughters. In his free time, he enjoys entertaining family and friends with food and wine.
