Yan is an advertising industry pioneer at the forefront of measuring viewer engagement and attention. He is the CEO and Co-founder of TVision, the only company passively measuring at scale how people really watch TV and media. TVision, a Viant company, enables brands, TV networks, and CTV publishers to understand person-level insights into how viewers pay attention to video content and ads across apps, networks, programs and devices.
Yan founded TVision while earning his MBA at MIT. In 2026, Viant acquired TVision. Prior to TVision, Yan co-founded Yo-ren, a leading digital marketing agency in Asia, and also worked at McKinsey in Tokyo. He grew up in both Japan and China and currently resides with his family in New Jersey.
